GCSE and A level Food and Nutrition pupils visited Forestside Cookery School in Belfast where they watched a demo from chef Jeffers. He cooked stuffed chicken wrapped in bacon with mushroom and truffle sauce on a bed of garlic sautéed kale and spinach, served with fondant potato. Everyone then got to try a portion of the dish which everyone agreed was delicious! It gave our pupils a real insight into preparing restaurant standard food.
They then went to the continental Christmas Market at City Hall to experience all the sights and sounds from around the world before returning to school.
It really got everyone in the Christmas spirit and a thoroughly enjoyable day was had by all!
