Year 10 Grief Ally Workshop

Our Year 10 pupils recently took part in a Grief Ally Workshop delivered by Cruse NI, helping them to develop a better understanding of grief, loss and bereavement.

The workshop encouraged pupils to think about how grief can affect people in different ways and, importantly, how they can be a supportive friend and Grief Ally to someone who may be experiencing a bereavement.

We were also delighted to have our newly appointed Year 13 Grief Ambassadors on hand throughout the session to support our younger pupils. Our Ambassadors will soon undertake further training with Cruse NI as they prepare for their new role within our school community.

A really important step in continuing to build a compassionate school community where our young people feel supported through difficult times.
