Livestock and Meat Commission

On Wednesday 1st March Liz Brown from the LMC gave a demonstration during our Home Economics classes on Northern Irish approved meat.  She demonstrated how to prepare and cook Tikka mince, grilled lamb chops with mint and fruity couscous and Hoi sin beef with rice noodles.

 

We were also informed about storing, preparing and handling the different cuts of meat.  Value for money also featured in the demonstration.

 

Overall, everyone really enjoyed the experience and the tasting session.  It was very educational giving many useful examples that could be included in our GCSE practical.
