Farewell to Year 14!
On Thursday 4th May 2017 our Upper Sixth students bid a fond farewell to seven years at St. Louis Grammar. To mark the end of an era Upper Sixth pupils and their parents were invited to attend a leavers mass celebrated by our school chaplain Fr. Brennan. Several of our Upper Sixth students actively participated in the service in which there was a strong sense of community and a recognition of the positive relationships which exist within the school.
Pupils, parents and many staff then gathered in the Sports Hall for a celebratory lunch which was followed by a series of speeches from Mr Rafferty, Mrs O’Neill, our Head Girl, Anita McKeown and Head Boy, Mark McGarry. While Mr Rafferty and Mrs O’Neill gave an overview of the St. Louis journey, Anita and Mark recalled personal experiences during their time at St. Louis and paid tribute to the dedication of staff.
As the afternoon drew to a close and the Upper Sixth left the hall equipped with Year Books, pens and various other memorabilia, there was a great sense of pride in the confident and talented young men and women ready to embark on their third level education.
