Generation Innovation

Generation Innovation is designed to assist Northern Ireland in its goal to become one of the most entrepreneurial knowledge economies in Europe via the active engagement of new young talent.  Generation Innovations annual event is the highlight of the Generation Innovation calendar, held to welcome new members and celebrate local entrepreneurial spirit. The event is held in a prime venue, (previously Titanic Belfast and City Hall). Attendees dine with founders of local business, science and technology companies and gain inspiration from speakers such as Gail Power from Facebook and locally-born games industry legend David Perry, who addressed the audience live from California last year. Many Lower Sixth students nominated themselves for this years’ Generation Innovation however there could only be two.  Jack Magill was chosen due to his experience in running his own business on eBay where he sells GAA jerseys. He sells jerseys all over the world to countries stretching from Australia and Indonesia to America. Jack has been very successful so far in and in only the last three months has excelled his own target which was to sell over one hundred GAA jerseys all over the world.   Niamh O’Hara was chosen as she currently runs her own business designing and decorating mobile phone covers, which she then sells on eBay. As well as using her own ideas to produce these cases, she also takes custom orders. If you feel that you are a budding entrepreneur, already have a business or know someone who does please nominate in September!
